The fourth game of the National League Champion Series is in the third inning, with my beloved San Francisco Giants up 2-1 in the series and 1-0 in the game. My joy is out of control such that I am able to overlook any feelings of personal inadequacy I may have developed as a reaction to the Giants’ starting pitcher being younger than I am.
